Is Dropshipping Legal?

Is Dropshipping Legal (Allowed)?

There is a lot of confusion among new sellers about dropshipping and they also feel nervous about entering the space of dropshipping.

It should be understood that if a big marketplace like eBay allows Dropshipping, it is legal. They do allow it and it is not without their knowledge. The Help page clearly states, they do allow it but Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) apply.

Yes, dropshipping is legal. Dropshipping is a kind of order fulfilment and you are a mediator between the supplier and the customer.

It is entirely up to you whether you stock the items in a supplier’s warehouse or at your own place.

Some online marketplaces may have their set of Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) for dropshippers which should be complied with. As per eBay Help page, “Dropshipping, where you fulfil orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.” They allow it because it is legal. These big marketplaces always are in compliance with law.

If you are dropshipping on eBay, you need to ensure that you guarantee delivery within 30 days of the end of the listing. Although the shipping time and item quality are not directly in the seller’s control because it is the supplier who ships the item, eBay places full responsibility in their hands.

I have personally seen eBay dropshippers making millions on a monthly basis and they should inspire any would-be dropshipper.

So, if you have dropshipping on the mind, do not waste any more time in thinking. Remember, for many aspiring dropshippers, tomorrow has never come in years and they did not live up to their full potential.

Do not put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
